What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the school. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:
- Information you enter in our inquiry or application forms: your name, phone number, email address, preferred language, the program and schedule track you are interested in, and anything you write in a message field.
- Payment information when you pay online. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; CSHS never sees or stores your full card number.
- Basic technical information that any website receives when you visit, such as your browser type and the pages you view, kept in routine server logs.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and walk you through enrollment.
- To contact you about your application, your documents, or your class schedule.
- To process tuition and fee payments you choose to make online.
- To meet recordkeeping obligations that apply to schools in California.
Payments and Stripe
Online payments on this site are handled by Stripe. When you pay, your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. CSHS receives confirmation of your payment and the details needed for your student account, not your full card number.
What we will never do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with marketers. Your decision to inquire about a program is between you and the school.
When we share information
We share information only in these limited situations:
- With service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, our email provider, and Stripe for payments. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena, court order, or a reporting obligation that applies to postsecondary schools in California.
- With your consent, for anything else.
Your records and your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email admin@cshs.education and we will respond. Some records, such as enrollment and academic records, must be retained for periods set by California law and cannot be deleted early.
Children
This website is intended for adults and for prospective students. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. We will not quietly weaken the commitments on this page.
